Hello,
For the on-call scheduling application, I know that the rota_admin has the following abilities:
A user with the rota_admin [OnCall admin] role can create, edit, and delete rotations. They can manage all aspects of a rotation such as the rosters, roster members, coverage, and time-off
But if a user who only accesses the OnCall application at a read-only level does NOT have either the rota_admin or rota_manger role needs to schedule some time off in the OnCall application, or make any other modifications to his/her OnCall rotas to which the user belongs, how can this user submit that request for a rota_admin or rota_manger to approve/implement?
Thanks

Hi charlesbush88,
even if you are roaster member, you still need necessary role to edit the on-call calendar.
The admin or user with on-call module roles only can edit on-call calendar.

Ravi

Hi charlesbush88,
Yes, you are right to modify time offs, rosters etc we need to have either rota_admin or rota_manger,
we can design a catalog item for the same, to submit a request for particular group to implement the change requested.
or Usually mangers are assigned with necessary roles, so that they can perform modify activities for the team members.
Latter is more crude way.

Ravi

Hi Ravi,
Thanks for your resposne. I do have one follow up question:
If I am a person a part of an on-call scheudle rotation and need to swap coverage with someone else on that same rotation, will I be able to modify the coverage myself via the on-call calendar, and have the change "approved and commited" by a manager with rota_admin or rota_manager? Or as a standard user, will I simply not be able to make any adjustments to the rotas (calendar view or other) ?
Thanks!
