Plan for instance setup

Hi,

Does any one have a sample documentation plan to setup an instance from scratch with catalog items, scripts, flows, and other modules that require for an instance to function.

Thank you,

Sharley

Hi @Angel raj

There is no such requirement. When we receive an instance, it comes with demo data if it’s PDI (Personal Developer Instance), or it includes OOTB (Out-of-the-Box) scripts, flows, and forms. It then depends on what changes you want to make. Additionally, the ITSM Guided Setup is already available in the instance.

A fresh instance is already functioning. Setting it up is all depending on the requirements you need to gather first.

Setting up scripts, flows and catalog items are not available as sample doc, because that's specific for every client/instance.

Start on NowCreate to see how to run a ServiceNow implementation, because your question is starting halfway through the process (or you are asking others for their work, so you can skip doing it yourself with the problem for you that you need to start over, because whatever you get, can't be reused, since it is too specific).
And on NowCreate you can also find the module specific information you need. There is a huge difference between implementing ITSM or CSM or ITOM or whatever it is you are implementing.

Please mark any helpful or correct solutions as such. That helps others find their solutions.
