Preserving original priority of the Incident

Hello,
I have a query related to preserving the original priority of incident . There is a use case for example, if incident is created with P2 and then priority changed to P4 (from the source) , it will overwrite the original priority from P2 to P4 Can we check the original priority somewhere in the reports etc.? Is it stored somewhere?

You can create metric on Priority field and then use that for reporting.
