Priority field on incident form.

In our PDI on Incident form the Priority field is auto populated to 5 - Planning based on impact and urgency field's value while opening the form for first time to create new Incident.

I want choice values of Priority fields should be 1 - Critical, 2 - High, 3 - Moderate, 4 - Low and 5 - Planning should not be auto populated while opening the form for first time to create new Incident.

 

I have inactivated the choice value 5-planning and priority lookup for choice value 5-planning as well but still it is showing while opening the form to create new incident.

 

Can anyone please help me out ASAP as it is urgent.

Hi there,

 

So how should this work in your opinion? When should Priority be calculated or even shown? Please describe you question a bit more.

And I assume this is than not limited to incident?

Hi Mark,

As of now on the Incident Form I want that priority field value blank while opening the form for first time to create new Incident.

If it's really only about the default value: you could remove the default value for Priority. Then it will only be calculated upon change of Impact or Urgency.

Just checked, default value of priority field is 4-low not 5-planning, so I think this is not the problem.
