Hi, can you point out the main difference in the process or the impact of when hardware models are loaded in the parent Product Model instead of Hardware Model.
We recently implement a basic asset mgmt process in our instance and I just discovered that the project team loaded the HW models in to the Product Model table and mapped them to the assets. A couple of manually created models were created in the Hardware Model table and mapped to assets as well. We need to merge the data in one table. I know the Hardware Model is the right one (from documentation) but I would like to understand the difference between the 2 and when is the parent used in general?
Thanks!
sas
