Published Knowledge Articles Moved to Draft After Enabling Approval Flow

Hi,

We have a knowledge base called "Knowledge" that previously had no approval process configured, so articles were automatically published.

After configuring an approval flow using Flow Designer for this knowledge base and moved the update set from non-prod to prod, we noticed that some already published articles moved back to the Draft state.

We also checked the article history/versioning and could not find evidence that these articles were previously published. Normally, we would expect version records showing their published state, but that information is missing.
Could anyone help me on what could cause published articles to revert to Draft after enabling an approval flow?

Thanks in advance

Hi there @Nivedha G

check the Flow trigger and any Update Record actions to make sure they aren’t setting the state to Draft for existing article, Also check the article’s audit to see which process actually changed the state. Moving the Update Set alone shouldn’t move published articles back to Draft.

first test with one affected article and trace what updated its state.
