Reference Qualifier Violation error when editing primary assignee in Visual Task Board

After creating an incident, when attempting to assign a primary assignee from the available user list via the "Visual Task Board" I get a 'Reference Qualifier Violation' and the incident remains unassigned. Has anyone seen this ?

Search in business rules for script contains reference qualifier

Your user needs to be part of a group with a type = Agile Team (note, you may need to alter the group form to include type as it's not there by default).
