Hey guys,
almost 40% of the entire Service Desk backlog annually is related or resolved through reset password procedure.
In my case, but please do not focus on the auth provider, means that plenty of people must reset the password in OKTA and then share/send a notification to the user.
In 2023, i think that this kind of work should not involve humans.
Help me in design a process where user can leverage ServiceNow, ask for reset password, receive a link and set their new passord. This last part (link and landing page to reset password, can be provided by auth application).
How would you build this feature?
Thank you

ServiceNow already has an application for this in place, see https://www.servicenow.com/community/now-platform-articles/administration-identity-amp-authenticatio...
Apart from this for your requirement a rather extensive solution has to be built which cannot be delivered via an answer field to your question post.

Hi Maik,
first of all thank you for your response. Big fan of your linkedin feed, so i'm quite honored 😄
I have started to explore the Password Reset application. I think i have an high level idea on what to build. I was looking more for tips&tricks rather than docs, process and so on. That part i should be able to do it.
I will explore more the documentation and see what i can build with that
Thank you
Have a nice day
