I enabled the Service Portal plugin (as we were on Express and we were migrated to Enterprise Jakarta) and we were recently upgraded to Madrid.
We want to take advantage of the Madrid layout of the Service Portal. Yes, there is a difference, particularly when handling requests (I think this layout was implemented in Kingston).
TLDR: How can I reset the Service Portal to the Madrid default layout?

Hi
All records in ServiceNow with "Versioning" can be compared with different versions of the data.
For example, if you add the Related List "Versions" in the "Service Portal" header record, you can do a compare using the right click in the version you want to compare, and selecting "Compare to Current":
That shows a screens to compare both versions (current and selected one):
Differences are marked in blue (see screenshot below):
You can also "Revert to this version" in the right-click menu on the "Versions" Related List:
This will create a new Version with the content/version you selected as "current".
Make sure, you really want to revert! Check first in a safe sandbox environment, before committing in PRODUCTION!!!
The sad thing is, you need to do that on all records, you already changed, e.g. "pages".
But the good thing is, that you were not allowed to change OOB portal widgets. They will be brand new 🙂
Let me know, if this solved your question, by marking as correct or helpful.

you can request a PDI instance on MAdrid and then compare service portal pages, widgets, contains, portals between your enterprise instance and PDI to revert service portal to OOB.

Sachin
