Resource Plan toggle in Project Workspace (Resource Assignment) Utah version

Hello Everyone,

 

I am not getting the 'Resource plan' toggle button in Project Workspace.

 

According to below documentations Plugins and Roles are in place.

Tried creating few Resource assignment from Resources. Still cannot see this option. Anyone worked on this before or Am I missing something.

Getting below:

Hello Aarya, 

I'm sorry you ran into this, but I am glad you noticed it so that we could correct.

The documentation is correct in that the option should be where you are looking.  

That will be corrected with the August release.  

For now; 

1 - Type sys_properties.list and press enter

2 - Search for '*planning'

3 - Set the value of sn_pw.enable_resource_planning to 'true'.

I am currently in the beginning stages of our Utah upgrade and having encourtered this issue after updating the Standard Project Planning plug in. 

 

Reading in product docs it looks like there should be a property that needs to be set to true to show the resource toggle. (see excert from the Create a resource assignment from Project Workspace product doc)

 

"2.View the resource assignment pane by enabling the Resource plan toggle button.

Note: If the property sn_pw.enable_resource_planning is set to true, then the Resource plan toggle button and resource assignment pane are displayed in Project Workspace. The default value is false. You must have the pps_admin role to enable this property." 
 
I don't see this property in my instance. I tried to create a new property with this name and setting it to true, but that was unsucessful as well.
 
I also am not seeing the option for Planning Attributes under Project Attributes as refferenced on the "create or Edit Planning Attributes" prod doc. 
 
Not sure what I am missing either. Any help would be greately appreciated.

May be this can be resolved with the Patch. You can check the same with ServiceNow team.

 I opened a case with ServiceNow and apparently this functionality requires Utah Patch 2 or higher.
 They also instructed me to upgrade sn_plng_att_core to the latest version. (This may also upgrade other components, depending on the version you currently have installed).
Then also upgrade Project Workspace to version 4.0.0. (This may also upgrade other components, depending on the version you currently have installed).

 

I have not completed these updates myself but wanted to share with you to see if this resolves our issue.
