Search source are not working in portal

Hi,

1. I have created New Search Sources in the service portal --> portals -> Service Portal.

2. In the related list under search sources I click on New

3. I filled the form (search page template field is auto-populated with code)

4. In the Data source tab I have given the table as Incident, the condition is active true, the primary display field is  number, display fields short description

5. In the typehead search tab I have not given anything. 

6. portal is service portal

Now I have opened the portal and in search, I'm searching with active Incident. It is showing No results.

 

In type, head search ta do I need to add any page in page field?

Is there anything I am missing?

I have added the above URL with an incident number, then also it is showing no result

The steps to create Search Source are correct. One possible reason of empty results on searching could be problems with indexing of Task or Incident table.

You can open "task" item in menu "System Definition" > "Text Indexes" and compare "Indexed rows" value with the value of records in Task table. You can rebuild the index by click on related link "Regenerate Text Index".
