Service Catalog reference variable shows sysID and not the value

I am building a catalog item that has a custom table which need a transform map to be populated.

The issue is am having is when I select a value on the catalog item, it populates with the 'created' and not the value.

How do I get the controlled area value to display on the form and not the created?

Please make the Dispaly value to true in the dictionary of Controlled Area Type field to make it visible when you select.
