ServiceNow Lite - A possibility ?

Does anyone know if ServiceNow would ever consider providing a lite edition to encourage startups to use the platform ?

As part of my day job I develop in ServiceNow for a large bank, but by night I'm helping my ****'s small self-catering / property management business.

At the moment turnover is small and there's no way we could afford a ServiceNow licence.     But in a few years, when she's making significant income, I'll have already automated most of her backend operation using a hotch-potch of Google for Business, MySQL, windows batch programming and scotch-tape.

i.e. Even though I love this product,   by the time we can afford to move to ServiceNow we'll have far less incentive to do so.

There must be thousands of startups in the same position and I'm sure the accountants could come up with a model which allows small customers to start paying when they can afford to.

So would ServiceNow ever consider releasing some sort of cut-down version, maybe with no official support, for a small fee (or free?) for startups ?

I'd be happy to volunteer for the pilot !

AJM.

As of now there is no Service Now lite. But you might want to consider Partners working with MSP - Managed Services Platform.

MSP is a business model where ServiceNow will sell a MSP ServiceNow instance to a Partner, and the Partner might decide to host as many "domains" ( ServiceNow instances) they want to manage internally in   a MSP.

10,000 feet view - You have a single instance shared between various small companies/instances.

Technically, this is called "Domain Separation".

Thanks!

So they're like resellers ?

Interesting. It's not what I was thinking of but if some kind MSP were to offer access to a domain for negligable payment that could be an option.

Any MSPs out there willing to offer us a free domain now for a fair percentage of the profits in 5 years when we're turning over - according to current projections - about 3 Million pounds sterling ?

Depending on the size of one's startup, you might want to check this out: ServiceNow | Business Edition | Corporate ITSM

Interesting.

Unfortunately "ServiceNow Business Edition is currently available in the US and Canada only." and I'm in Scotland.   I also suspect that one techy in a bedroom in Scotland doesn't count as a mid-sized IT department so - I guess - this will also be well outside my current budget.

But it is an interesting development, so thanks.
