Hi there,
I've been browsing the community for answers to setting default answers for survey question and yet to find an answer that works.
I have the below survey and want to set a default answer for the first 4 question:
I've gone into the assessment metrics and got it to display the default answer field but when clicking in the drop down box nothing is displayed:
What am I missing?
Many thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,
Did you already check the following steps? If not, please do it.
1) Go to UI policies and search for "Show and hide default value field" on the table asmt_metric table.
2) Modify its condition to display default value for your required method. (Try removing the condition) and update it.
3) Navigate to asmt_metric table and open your required metric or question. You would now see the default answer field on the form.
If I have answered your question, please mark my response as correct and/or helpful so that others with the same question in the future can find it quickly and that it gets removed from the Unanswered list.
Thank you
Cheers
Alberto

Hi Alberto,
I've completed these steps to display the default Value field but I cannot populate it or select an option as per the 2nd screenshot.
Cheers,
Alex

Hi Alex,
The field has a dependancy on Category Table field. Configure the form to see the field value & check for results.
Thanks,
