Setting up onboarding in ITSM

Is there such a thing as a gathering template for information that would be needed to create an onboarding using ITSM?  Normally in my experience there is a kick off meeting where information is gathered from the client.  I am wondering if there is a document or something that has a list of all the things required from the client to create this onboarding.

are we talking onboarding of new employees? If yes, then you should not look at ITSM but instead look at HR life cycle events. ITSM is for handling it related services - nothing else.

I agree however they did not purchase HRSD and dont plan on purchasing it.  Ive seen it done through an order guide through ITSM so that is how we are going to be approaching it

Ok, I don't think you will find any templates available for onboarding, when your not utilizing the ServiceNow preferred solution. According to your question "I am wondering if there is a document or something that has a list of all the things required from the client to create this onboarding.", I don't believe so. You off course need to have a meeting with the client to understand all facets of their onboarding.
