I'll answer this for you, but better practice is to create whole new question threads. That way people who answer can get full points for doing so, and its easier for others to search who have similar problems.
Luckily, changes to those particular fields are easy, because a function called Metric Definition creates a Metric Instance every time. It stores the new value, the user who performed the transaction, the date time. It also updates the last metric instance to log how much time it was in that value.
