Transfer a service portal page to another instance

We made changes on a service portal page on our production instance and we want to export that page (including layout changes we did for the rows, columns, widgets, etc. on the page). Tried exporting the XML of the page record and imported it on our development instance however the layout on the page itself was not migrated.

 Need help on how we can move this page along with all its contents now.

I'm assuming you already know how to export one particular record to XML so I would ctrl+click (or right-click and open in new tab) all the records linked on the page (eg. Container 1, Row 1, Column 1, widget instance, column 2, widget instance, etc).  

Export each open record to XML just as you've done with the page record, then import into your target instance.

Note that you don't need to export the widget itself as I'm assuming you already have those widgets in your target instance, so just the widget instances.

Yes, this would have all been easier to do had you tracked your work in an update set as you were building the page.  Creating an update set at this point and making trivial changes on the page would likely not capture everything on the page in your update set.

Unless I'm missing something, it seems that the "Top Rated Answer" is only a partial answer, and isn't helpful to me, so let's bring the question into 2022:

I've developed a new portal on our SN Sandbox. I need to move it to our DEV instance. For some reason, the Update Set did nothing, so I've decided to try to export/import the new Poral itself. (I'm not asking about the update set issue here)

1. How *exactly* do I import the Portal with all it's pages, links, stuff, etc. I see that screenshot above, but that doesn't help me. How do I include everything in my XML file? Right now I'm going to Service Portals and clicking on my new portal in the list. Then I click the hamburger menu-->Export-->XML (This Record) and saving the resulting XML file on my hard drive. If that's not the way to get *everything* then what are the exact steps to downloading (exporting) and XML file with the portal plus all it's stuff?

2. Once I get an answer to question #1, what are the *exact* steps for getting that XML file *IMPORTED* into the new instance?
