We are pretty much OOB on asset management. We use Serial Numbers as our unique identifier instead of asset tags. My question is, when I create a transfer order and then click on NEW transfer order line, I select the model and then asset. It works great but I would like to display the serial number when they select the asset. Mostly just so the user can verify on that screen that they selected the right one. That serial number field is not being displayed. It only displays AFTER I save it. Let me show you what I am seeing below.

Hi there, I have a similar issue and wanted to see if this is your experience as well.
I added the Serial Number field to the Transfer Order Line field, and that works fine (after save), but I have tried to add the Serial number field to the Transfer Order Lines - Related List - list layout on the Transfer Order and it is always blank. I have verified both fields contain data on the asset record, but when I add asset.asset_tag and asset.serial, all I get is blank fields.
If we have a 20 line transfer order, its not efficient to have to click into each TO Line to retrieve the serial number.
