Triggering a notification to child

Hi all,

 

I want to trigger a workflow. When the changes are made in the parent form fields. Then the approval and notification has to trigger to the approval group in the Child. How is it possible?

I have triggered the workflow. In that I have triggered a notification using look up records and business rule. But unable to see the notification in the logs. 

 

If possible can we connect through zoom, there is an emergency

Hi @ShireeshaM ,

 

from what i understand, you can do this using a BR on the parent table and create a flow triggered on child record update and include Ask for Approval and notification actions in the flow. Can you share the screenshots and how you're trying to achieve this?

I may not be able to connect over Zoom, but I’m happy to help here. Could you please share a few more details so we can troubleshoot?

As I understand, your use case is : when certain field(s) are updated on a parent table, a notification and an approval should be sent to an approval group from a child table.

Also, could you clarify what is working so far?

  • Has the approval been triggered?
  • Has the notification been sent?
  • Or are both still pending?

    Screenshots would really help here.
