Unable to Find Assets in the Asset Table (alm_asset)

Hi All,

For some reason I'm not able to find (some) assets in the Asset Table. I see them when I search for them (using the Search field), please see screenshots below.

Example: Configuration Item LT-B02885

Using the seach field I find the following:

I'm able to find the record only by entering the serial number, see below. However, the CI name does not match. Is it because it was recently deployed?

Please advise!

Thanks!

Hi Jesus,

What release of ServiceNow are you using.   I was able to perform the query you were suggesting in a demo instance of Istanbul.

Maybe you can provide a bit more background on how your instance is configured.

Is the Configuration Item link in your list view the full reference link to the related cmdb_ci_computer table or is it an attribute on the table itself?

We're using Helsinki. Can you be more specific about how the instance is configured?

Thanks Daniel, I was able to find the root cause. There are two 'In Use' in the drop-down list. The CI Record won't update if one of the 'IN USE' (last in the list) is selected — see how the sub state is editable, in other words it is not gray.

Hoever, when I select first 'IN Use,'   then the CI record updates accordingly. Your thoughts on this?
