User unable to login to Snow as it says logout successfull

I tried to access SN by clearing browser cookies, history and temp files. SN account locked is not checked.

user gets "logout successful" message and is automatically logged out of SNOW

Sounds like there is a configuration problem with SSO.  I would confirm with your provider to verify everything you have set is correct.  I know even thought I have imported the providers metadata there is always one some thing I have to change.
