I have installed the Managed Documents plug in and created a document as a test. However, no one else outside of me with sys admin rights, can see this module or access the documents. I have looked through the WIKI and other community questions/answers on this, and tried all the options, but it still doesn't work. I can get other users to see the module and open documents by adding their itil role to the role of each part of the module, but this only gives them read capability. They cannot check out the document or create a new one. When I tried to add the document_management_user to the itil role, it doesn't allow it stating that this role is already assigned however it is not listed anywhere. I tried adding the role to the module, it still did not give any rights, only appearing on the list of Application with Roles. One possible solution I found was to amend the security script that came with this plug in module and remove the references to document_management_user but that did not work either. I went into the actual document and tried to assign user permissions to it but it only allows itiluser. It will not let you assign a group either.
We like this module very much and want to use it but unless we figure out a way to grant users access to it, we won't be able to.

When we assign a user the role document_management_user, they are able to see the module 'Managed Documents'. Then, the user is able to create documents, etc. We even have the user managing permissions (user, group) on a specific document. We are in Geneva.
