values are not populating while applying a template on SC_TASK table

Hl All,

i have an issue with templates , we have a template on SC_TASK table with additional comments as " test" , and while i am trying to apply that i am getting error saying

TEMPLATE NOT APPLIED

1 item is not present on the form

1. Additional comments

Any one help me how to resolve this , can't we add additional comments on sc_task , it is working as expected on incident , problem , change and RITM tables

please provide your inputs on this

SCTASK form does not contain additional comments by default.

To be able to populate it, you would need to add it to a form.

However the concept of request fulfillment in OOB is that RITM contains additional comments (user facing) whereas SCTASK contains worknotes (internal notes).

Hi Shabbir,

Please look into below snapshot once.

Please make sure to which field you are applying in the Template. If "Additional comments" field is present on the SCTASK form then you simply set the value in the Template as shown below.

If "Request item.Additional comments" field is present on the SCTASK form then you need to follow to set the value in the Template as shown below.

1. Click on Show Related Fields

2. Then go to "Request item=>Requested Item fields". Next select "Additional comments". Then set the value to Test.
