Variables needs to be editable only based on assignment group for specific catalog item, how can we do this?

Variables needs to be editable only to users who are member of assignment group for a specific catalog item, how can we do this?

you can use onLoad catalog client script which applies on that catalog item.

Then use GlideAjax to check if logged in user is member of group

Based on that make variables readonly or editable
