Video in KB article

Hello,

 

We are trying to add videos to KB article, avi files do not play once uploaded via either URL or Attachment (they upload but just appear as a blank grey box). 

.mov and .mp4 work without issue.

 

avi is added as a supported file type in the system property, attribute 'HTML Sanitizer' is set to false for article body.

What could be the issue?

Please refer to the San Diego & Utah documentation here.

The 2 versions that the platform officially supports are:

  • MPEG-4 video .mp4
  • WebM Video .webm

SD documentation

Utah documentation

Even if you add the file format as supported type, the platform layer codes might not accept it, and therefore rendering a blank space.
