Hi.
What are Outage Incidents? And how are they different from Incidents?
Please give examples too and not just the definition.

Hello,
- Outage: Unplanned outages such as those caused by hardware or network issues. This is the only type of Outage considered when calculating availability of a service.
- Planned outage: Necessary outages caused by planned maintenance or upgrades.
- Degradation: Indicates a problem affecting a service that does not result in a disruption of that service.
Please mark my answer correct/helpful if it helped you any way.
Thank you.
Regards,
Priyanka

Hi,
Basically, Outage means getting a downtime so to understand this you can consider that in a particular incident for its solution we want a downtime so you can create an outage for that particular incident and mention the start and end time so to mention the interruptions.
Click on the context menu and click Create Outage, an outage record will open as below.

Hi Furqaan,
Adding to Priyam,
For Example-
Suppose there is a server outage in our organisation then what we usually do is we create a incident and tie that CI with Incident.
Similarly we can have a outage tied up with the Incident for this CI which can show you Outage time, when outage occured, when the CI will be restored and what was the cause of this outage.
We can have this outage as an announcement or alert, which can be displayed on portal as well. So that users no that there is a outage for this particular CI or service.
For more info refer to this-Outage
Please mark it helpful/correct if it helps you.
Thanks,
