Hi.
What are Outage Incidents? And how are they different from Incidents?
Please give examples too and not just the definition.

Hello,
- Outage: Unplanned outages such as those caused by hardware or network issues. This is the only type of Outage considered when calculating availability of a service.
- Planned outage: Necessary outages caused by planned maintenance or upgrades.
- Degradation: Indicates a problem affecting a service that does not result in a disruption of that service.
Please mark my answer correct/helpful if it helped you any way.
Thank you.
Regards,
Priyanka

What is the industry standard for creating outages for incidents? Do they have to be created manually for incidents?

Hi guys, very interesting post but wondering if an Incident with an Outage happens during a period when there is an planned outage. I know that Service Availibity will not be calculated if it is a Planned Outage.
What happens, if I have a planned outage but during my planned outage I have an incident that reports an outage on the same ci. This outage will reduce the availibility. Is there a way for implementation in order to have this outage will not have an impact on the planned outage period?
thank you! reg wolf
