Dear all,
I have recently observed 2 attributes in Requested Item table, "stage" and "state".
I have been trying to find some doc. However, I can only find Use workflow stages describing "stage" and "stage state" (not attribute "state").
Could someone help me out here that what is the use of the attribute "state" ? Among 5 choices, namely Pending, Open, Work in Progress, Closed Complete and Closed Incomplete, how to define each of these? Is there a OOTB script behind it?
Thank you.

Hello @major li,
- The State field in a Requested Item form is a field that represents the current status of the request item. It is a system field that is updated automatically by the system as the request item moves through its lifecycle. The possible values for this field are "Waiting for Approval", "Approved", "Fulfilled", and "Cancelled".
- The Stage field in a Requested Item form is a field that provides more granular information about the current phase of the request item's lifecycle. It is also a system field that is updated automatically by the system. The possible values for this field are "Requested", "Planning", "Approval", "Scheduled", "Implementation", "Review", and "Closed".
- The main difference between the two fields is that the State field provides a high-level overview of the request item's status, while the Stage field provides more detailed information about the current phase of the request item's lifecycle.
- Another difference is that the State field is used in the default list view for request items, while the Stage field is not.
- The State field is also used in the default form view for request items, while the Stage field is not. However, the Stage field can be added to the form view if desired.
- Both fields can be used in reports and queries to filter and sort request items based on their current status or stage.
