Hello,
we have just activated "ITSM Roles" plugin in order to get sub-roles for new "Business Stakeholder" role. There was an expectation that this role will grant pretty much the same level of access as "itil" role, but read-only. Unfortunately, basically all that is visible to Business Stakeholder is little bit more than Incident and Change request.
We would like to have following read-only for Business Stakeholders:
- Catalog Tasks
- Requests
- Requested Items
Maybe not all roles coming with "ITSM Roles" plugin are added to "Business Stakeholder" role by default?
Or is this deliberate restriction of Business Stakeholder role? Or something is wrong on our side? Is there some ready-made solution (plugin) or do we have to dive into ACLs and configure this manually?
Thank you in advance for clarification.

Hi satyach,
Unfortunately, that article lacks of detailed information.
"Users with this role can view and approve records within all products of ITSM."
and in "Installed with Business Stakeholder" article:
"Note: The business_stakeholder role contains the following ITSM roles sn_incident_read, sn_problem_read, sn_change_read, sn_request_read, and approver_user roles."
I was expecting to find list of modules/applications and tables available to Business Stakeholder. Since this roles requires subscription, having this information is quite important...
As a result, we had to compare ITIL with Business Stakeholder side by side directly on our instance and figure out, what is accessible and what is not. Lot of time went into this.
I already added bunch of ACLs to allow read-only access to missing stuff (REQ, RITM, SCTASK).
Thanks,
Patrik

Note that modifying task ACLs ventures into licensing area. Always check with your rep
