what is the purpose of next Related child template field in sys_template table in sevicenow

Hi , 

 

I have created a template in the Next Related Child Template field in the sys_template table for the parent record. However, when I create a Change Request and apply the parent template, the template configured in the Next Related Child Template field is not getting applied. Could you please suggest how to resolve this issue?

Hi @chandan2212 ,

Next Related Child Template = create a child record (task) and relate it to the parent record automatically

This field does not apply another template to the same record. Instead, it creates a new child record using the specified template

@Huynh Loc  : i have created the parent template and create new child template but it not attaching to the child incidents.

 

 

Please share screenshots about templates which you created.
