Hi,
Could you let me know what's the difference between [requested_for] field and [opened_by] field in [sc_request] table?
At first glance it seemed the same meaning, so I asked a question.
Regard,
bunai

Hi,
both have it's own use and purpose
opened_by is usually the user who has raised the request
requested_for is used when someone raises a request on behalf of someone else
Mark ✅ Correct if this solves your issue and also mark 👍 Helpful if you find my response worthy based on the impact.
Thanks

Hi,
Let me explain you with 1 scenario.
Let say, you got a call from your manager requesting for installation of some software and ask you to raise an request. So if you are opening a request, then under requester, you select your manager and under opened_by, it will be you.
Some cases, they both can be same, if the same person is creating a request.
Mark the comment as a correct answer and helpful if it answers your question.

Hi,
[opened_by]: Name of the person who has opened a request.
[requested_for]: Used for the name of person for whom you are raising a request.
But while impersonate the user the requested for field comes as read only that means the user can't change the requested for to another user.
So,in order to remove read only and make it write the user should have a manger level role.

Hi,
Thank you all for quick reply!
And I'm sorry for the late response.
I thought it was the same meaning, but it was used differently! I understand.
Thank you so much!
