An Update Set only captures configuration changes that are part of the system metadata and tracked changes. It does NOT include transactional data or certain system artifacts by default.. Based on that:

 

Not included in an Update Set by default:

  • B. Data – Records/transactional data are not captured

  • C. Published Workflows – Only the workflow definition is captured; publishing must be done separately in the target instance

  • E. Schedule Entries â€“ These are data records and are not included by default

  • G. Related Lists – Related list configurations are not included

Included in an Update Set:

  • A. Homepages

  • D. Business Rules

  • F. Database changes – Table creation, schema changes, and dictionary changes are not captured
  • H. Report Definitions

  • I. Scheduled Job

  • J. Client Scripts

  • K. Views
