Why can't I see an article template in Knowledge - Administration - Article Templates?

Hi,

Can anyone tell why my custom KB article template is not visible in Knowledge - Administration - Article Templates, or if there is a trick to make it appear here? The instance is the London release, although I am not sure how important this is. Let me explain.

In our developer environment we can see a new custom article template that was created from the above module using the New button, which also creates a table extension called u_kb_template_knowledge_article_customnamemasked. This is then also logged in the update set.

find_real_file.png

Having then retrieved the update set containing the new article template to production, it will NOT appear in Article Templates:

find_real_file.png

Despite of this, you can actually find the table extension that the template creates in both production and development:

find_real_file.png

As a result you can also use this template in the template selector in production when you create a new Knowledge Article:

The fact though that it is missing from Article Templates leads to not being able to easily modify fields for the template, unless using the Tables backdoor.

Any ideas?

Sorry to revive an OLD post but did you ever fix this?
I'm experiencing the exact same issue, very annoying.

U will need to activate "com.snc.knowledge_advanced.installer" Plug in

Activate the Knowledge Management Advanced plugin (servicenow.com)

is not enough activating the plugin, in old version it still is not visible, the users have to change to New Version on "Select the Article Template", this is what I have found until now
