Why is user getting logout successful?

I have a user who is getting "logout successful" message each time he attempts to login. I checked his profile and noticed he has two accounts with the same EMAIL ADDRESS, but different USER ID. Also, I noticed that one of the accounts has been locked out. I reset his password for the account that is NOT locked out then login as him via /login.do, and I was able to login successfully. But he's still not able to login in his end. I further asked him to try the "login.do", but he said whenever he selects the right account, it would automatically logout and won't have the chance to login differently. Please what could be the problem and how can I resolve it?

Hi Austine,

If you are able to login but not user then try following.

1) Ask user to try to login in separate browser with user id instead of email.

2) If doesn't work, inactivate and activate his account again by resetting password.
