Abstract:
When AdvanSix was spun off from their former parent company, they were faced with an extremely tight timeline to replace the legacy system for approval of capital appropriations. The former system was based on two separate SharePoint applications with a very complex schedule of executive approvals and tracking of many document types, including appropriation requests, equipment placed in service notices, and closure notices. To speed development and simplify deployment, AdvanSix chose to leverage the Now Platform to create a new scoped application that was completed in less than two months with more functionality and better usability than the prior system.
