Hi,

Are you able to open vCenter through web client with the vCenter credential.

Based on the impact hit like helpful or correct.

Adwitiya,

In the credentials table, when entering the vCenter credentials, have you entered it in the format domainName\username. Initially we had this issue and then we realized that the domain name is always needed when discovering a vCenter.

thanks jayz but i have already checked the credential it is put in write format

Hi Adwitiya,

I am also facing the similar issue, please find below details and give your valuable suggestions,

I am trying to discover the ESX server via VCenter which is hosted on Linux server.

I have configured the two credentials one for SSH and one for VCenter. Once i triggered the discovery, I am receiving the below error message,

SSH authentication or connection failure

Unable to establish connection to https://10.***.***.***/sdk

Troubleshooting steps taken :

I have tried to login the Linux server using same credentials ( Result : I can able to login successfully and also that account is privileged with admin access)

Kindly suggest me, what steps need to be carried out in ServiceNow end as well as Server end to discover the ESX server hosted on Linux server.

Thanks in Advance!

Regards,

Narendran
