Visibility of Additional Comments(customer visible) on SCTASK to Non-Admin users

There is an issue we are facing with while viewing Additional Comments(customer visible). Non-Admin user's even when having itil role are unable to view Additional Comments(customer visible) on SCTASK and this issue is observed only on few requests. (Additional Comments is already enabled in the SCTASK form). Even the mapping of few fields(Request item, Requested for etc.,) from the parent RITM is not happening correctly(fields are empty). Can anyone please suggest a solution for this.

Check for the ACL for comments fields in SCTask table.

Hi,

If possible can you share the screenshot meanwhile you can check if there is any UI policy/Client script/ACL is executing for comments field for SCTASK table.

From what we have found is, as the Users creating tasks which are not not part of the workflow, the SCTASK's are having parent RITM and Requested for fields empty. Since there no Requested for to send the Additional comments to, Additional comments field has disappeared.
