What is the difference between Knowledge article view count and reads ?

While extracting a report, we see three main columns in kb_knowledge table to understand KA analytics. However "view count" and "reads" columns seems redundant but there is mismatch in the numbers "89" and "77"?
Any insights..

Hi @Tarun Raj ,

OOTB , i don't see any field called "Reads" , i believe your internal development team has renamed it, what i am thinking is , it's something to do with "Can read" am guessing. See below :

find_real_file.png

View Count - Number of times article has been viewed.

Use Count - Would refer to how many times article has been attached to a record

Thanks,

Hi Tarun,

I am not sure but i guess view count is counting how many time article is viewed regardless of the same person viewing it again and again it will add to count.

and Reads is when any of the user reads it or open and view it it will be added to Reads but only one time.

Hi @Sandeep Dutta , You are correct, Just checked that its not OOTB. I may have to check it internally. Any idea about "Can read" option , what data is it capturing ?
