Hi all,
I hope you can help with this requirement: Allow all itil users to create draft and edit published articles regardless of who the author or owner (set to group) is. All draft/checkout version goes to an approval workflow and only the final approvers or knowledge managers/admins can publish.
The author is almost always not a member of the owner group.
There is no issue edting a published article but when a new draft is created and the author is set to another person, the fields become grayed out.
Thanks,
macoy

Thank you. How did you do this?

Does anyone know how to configure articles to be editable by the creator even if the author field is assigned to someone else? Thanks in advance.

I would really appreciate some advice if anyone knows how to enable other authors to edit Draft articles once knowledge versioning is activated. This wasn't picked up during user testing and is now a major headache for our Service Desk.

I am running into the same issue and it's causing a bottle neck. We need contributors to edit articles as new information arises.
