I want to create training manuals and display as powerpoint presentations within a knowledge article or post a word document rather than a straight out article. can this be done? I have a pdf within an iframe but it is clunky and exec do not like it.

I haven’t tried myself and it will not operate like slideshare but I think you may be able to display MS PowerPoint documents in knowledge articles by following the steps in this thread.

What a fun discussion. Articles can have attachments but of course you then face the problem of how AI will deal with them and a decision on whether to view in the ServiceNow viewer or force user to download. I usually have an article with images for each step and it looks ok
