Hi all,
I'm new to using Knowledge Blocks so having some trouble understanding what to do here. I need to retire this knowledge block but I keep getting the error message 'Block cannot be retired as it is currently being used in other articles'. I have removed it from all articles that had it inserted and retired them but i'm still getting the same message! What do I do?
Thanks,
Chris

Hemant, that article did not help. I have a block that I'm trying to retire in Tokyo. The block has been removed from the article it was linked to and that article itself has been retired. Now when I try to retire the block, it says there is still an article linked to it. I'm stumped.

The good news is that it will get easier and less tedious in the Tokyo version of ServiceNow.

We struggled with retiring knowledge blocks for a long time, until we moved to Vancouver, it certainly gets much easier there. As it will automatically remove the block from any articles when it's retired.
Our issue was that we could remove the block from a new version, but we couldn't remove it from outdated versions as they weren't editable.
The best way we discovered around it, although not ideal. Was to check the m2m_kb_to_block_history.do table and ask a system administrator to remove any entries for the block you want to retire.
Hopefuly that might help.
