I'm learning how to build dashboards in Yokahama. My question is this: When would I create a Data Visualization instead of a Report? On the surface, they both appear to do the same thing. Note that I have access to both in my Yokahama instance. Please help me understand the difference between the two options and why/when I would choose one over the other.
thanks in advance,
Dan

Hi @DanEvers
In the Yokohama release, ServiceNow has merged the legacy reporting module into the modern Platform Analytics experience.
It is recommended to start with platform analytics instead of the legacy reporting/dashboard building feature.
You create a Data Visualization instead of a Report when you are building modern Platform Analytics Dashboards, as legacy reports cannot be placed on these dashboards. You also use them to create interactive, dynamic UI experiences (like lists, scores, or charts) utilizing native Now Assist generation prompts.
