Generate report showing unique article views

I have a report that shows the total number of views per month for the year, but they count all views and not unique per user. 

I'd like to see the number of unique views we have to get a better reflection of traffic. If I open the report and group by user, I get a better reflection of how many people are looking at articles. For the month of October, I get 1,612 in this, but in the above it shows as 7,444. 

The problem is that if I try to edit the report to group by user, it gives an error message. 

What can I do here?

Thanks @atu - I've learned I can achieve the same with my existing report by changing the Aggregation to Count Distinct and by User, so simple!

Can I seek help to be successful like you with the same task?

I have pasted my report criteria and the filters for your review. 

When I click on the No. of views (E.g. 7444 in Oct, in your image), a list is displayed. The list shows the users more than once - not unique. Am I missing anything?
