How do you resubmit a retired knowledge article for approval as a draft instead of using the "Republish" UI actions button?

How do you configure a retired knowledge article to require approval before it is published vs using the "Republish" UI action button that instantly publishes a retired article without approval first?

HI,

There may be cases where you will need to republish a retired article. For example, an admin may want to temporarily retire an article when its information doesn't currently apply, but will at a later date. An administrator or knowledge administrator who can view retired articles can instantly republish these without having to go through an approval workflow.

  1. Navigate to All > Knowledge > Articles > Retired.
  2. Select a retired article and click Republish.

Result

The article is instantly published as the previous last published version.

Hi @Sandeep Dutta.  I believe the user understands how Republish works but is looking for a way to add a "review before republishing" step such as either (a) having the system generate an approval request upon clicking Republish or (b) creating a new draft article version that will naturally go through the approval process before being published.

Exactly this, I'm also wondering how you set a retired article back to a draft/review state rather than it instantly being republished
