Hi everyone,
I'm curious if you utilize the use of videos within your KB Articles and, if so, how? Here's how I currently use videos within my KB:
I give the KBA a title starting with a prefix of the product area it covers and I add in a camera emoji at the end to denote that it contains a video:
Once the end-user clicks into the KBA, there's the standard text in question and answer format then at the bottom is the embedded video:
I'd like to start using YouTube rather than the built-in "attach video" option but I wanted to get a gauge of what you all are doing currently.
Thank you!

Hi
Thank you, I bookmarked that page. I know how to add videos to ServiceNow but I was curious what other folks experiences are with adding videos to ServiceNow and how they utilize them.
Thank you!

Hello,
When my clients ask me about hosting files or videos, etc. I always steer them away from it if:
- This is going to be a major/regular need
- The files are large (i.e., excess 200MB)
- You have a LOT of traffic
A lot of the above is subjective, but ServiceNow, at the end of the day is not a large file repository system. Videos, especially, have to be "streamed" and so you have a lot of variables at play in terms of the file size, loading, streaming it, etc. Regardless of the streaming factor...there are far better places (and free mind you) to host your files. You can also utilize the "private" feature of YouTube where only the link gets you in otherwise, it's not shown publicly to others.
Just my 2 cents.
