Knowledge base for guest users is busted

Hi folks

 

After Australia Hotpatch 1 release, the search tools on the knowledge base broke. I was able to fix the search for logged in users by re-indexing, but the search tool for guest users is still broken. 

 

Does anybody know how to fix this problem. I tried SN support but it was (ahem) not helpful.
