Hello!
Wondering how y'all would solve for this scenario:
1) Knowledge worker writes an article that will be published on the Portal, say, a medium length article about Open Enrollment containing multiple headers, attachments and links
2) Knowledge worker Saves article then clicks Publish
3) Knowledge worker navigates to article in Portal in order to view article as Portal has rendered and formatted it
4) Knowledge worker then goes back into ServiceNow article, edits formatting or spacing and Publishes again
5) Knowledge worker refreshes page in Portal to view article as rendered in Portal
**repeat steps 4 and 5 many, many times to perfect formatting and look of article**
From what I can tell, the OOB View Article link in the related list section of the article only shows the article as it will appear within ServiceNow versus how it will appear as viewed in a portal by an end user.
This is really time consuming for authors clearly and, for articles that discuss a super timely topic like Open Enrollment that should not be visible to employees until Open Enrollment begins, somewhat of a risk. What if the article was forgotten (or the system times out) and the Scheduled Publish Date was not updated?
Thank you for your thoughts!

Hello,
Try this workaround.
1. View the Published Article in the Portal
2. Click on 'Copy Permalink'
3. Checkout the Article -- DRAFT
4. Paste the URL in your browser --> You would be able to preview the 'DRAFT' version of the article in the Portal view
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Ariel

Hello Elisabeth,
We ran into the same issue. To mitigate this we implemented a link that allows the support agent to copy a link to the article's support page. This helps with the validation of the KB in the support page and sharing the link with customers. It's not a perfect solution but it works.
