Recommendations for Knowledge Training

Hello,

Does anyone have any good recommendations for self-paced and/or virtual training classes for Knowledge Management? We've had our knowledge practice in place for a couple of years, but I've only recently been given the option to take some classes about it, so I'm open to any ideas. Thank you!

The only training I know of is the 2-3 day classes on KCS offered by Help Desk Institute or Consortium for Service Innovation. In my mind it's better to take their virtual class and get it over with in 3 solid days, then take the certification course within the allotted time. You'll be amazed at what you'll learn.

If you are interested in KCS, I recommend sticking with the Consortium for Service Innovation https://www.serviceinnovation.org/ as they are the authors/owners of the KCS methodology. Others such as HDI may offer classes in KCS but last I knew, they were not KCS Aligned or Verified with CSI to teach their v6 version of the methodology.

If you want Knowledge Management in general and not necessarily KCS focus, there are a number of other resources available such as KM World, APQC, numerous books, and white papers.

I'm very interested in this topic, too. Does anyone have any shorter courses they might recommend? For example, something through LinkedIn Learning?

I hope this isn't considered inappropriate promo, but the desire for shorter courses me to create this one hour LinkedIn Learning course.  It doesn't have KCS in the title, but that's 100% what it's based on.

We also deliver three day KCS v6 Practices and Certification workshops and half-day overviews, but sometimes you just want a quick introduction! https://www.linkedin.com/learning/customer-service-knowledge-management/
