Hello Josieb, I will challenge you to rethink the concept of a training manual. In my org, we have broken training into two pieces:
- The initial learning of the tool or process—think of this as new-hire training. It consists of videos, quick help guides, quizzes, etc., and is kept in SharePoint.
- "How to" documentation is kept in ServiceNow but in individual articles. Each procedure has its own article, but may be linked to other associated articles. This ensures users have the procedure needed without having to dig through a table of contents or scroll through a large article.
I hope this helps!

To create staff training manuals in ServiceNow, start with a clear homepage that includes a title and navigation menu for different sections like policies, procedures, and FAQs. Use collapsible sections or tabs for each topic to avoid constant scrolling. Incorporate visuals like images or charts, and add interactive elements such as quizzes and feedback forms. Finally, include a footer with contact information and links to related resources. This setup will make the manuals user-friendly and engaging for your staff.
