Hello, we continue to receive feedback from our authors that formatting is the biggest barrier to creating knowledge articles. I came across an upgrade note for TinyMCE, where the ability to include a line height button was added to the core menu items. It's available for version 5.5 or greater. So my questions to the team are:
- Does anyone know the current version of TinyMCE used? Is it simply version 5?
- TinyMCE just release version 7! Are there plans to update to TinyMCE editor anytime soon? Considering ServiceNow's requirement that it's customers be no more than two releases behind, it seems counterintuitive that they would allow this important component to be so far out of date.
As most of us do not have an option to purchase other editing tools, our goal needs to be advocating for it to work as effectively as possible.
Thanks!

Hey,
So as of Washington DC, ServiceNow is using v5.10.9 which had a release date of 15/11/2023.
For the question on when is SN going to upgrade to v7, your best bet is asking you account manager and having them connect you with the platform BU team. You can then discuss your concerns around the editors limitations, and some of the pains of crafting knowledge articles in comparison to other tools (Atlassian Confluence comes to mind)

It is not a per user price, it is for the whole company. Most customers who use it have 300%+ ROI.
